If you’re a beer aficionado, or just a Joe-Sixpack with a taste for the suds, you will want to be at the Mid City Mall next Saturday, May 16, for the Highlands Beer Festival, sponsored by ValuMarket.

It's back again this year, and better than ever! This year the festival will be moving to the side parking lot (Across from The Back Door), giving everyone ample space to enjoy all their favorite brews and meet some new ones.

The festival will run from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with beer proceeds going directly to the Bluegrass Center for Autism. First 500 paid admissions will receive an official Highlands Beer Festival 2015 Pint Glass.

Admission will be 5 bucks, and 2oz pours will be a buck each.

There will be more than 250 different beers, ales, and stouts to sample. A brew for every taste and palate.

This, That & The Other will provide live music during the festival. After Party hosted by The Back Door!

This event made possible by ValuMarket, The Back Door, Deschutes Brewery, Sweetwater, West 6th and LouisvilleBeer.com.

As that great American philosopher, Tom T. Hall, once said: “Whiskey's too tough, Champagne costs too much, Vodka puts my mouth in gear. I hope this refrain, Will help me explain, As a matter of fact, I like beer."
