The Ken-Ducky Derby, Harbor House of Louisville’s signature fundraising event is back for its 12th year. On Saturday, September 26th, thousands of spectators will watch as at least 25,000 yellow rubber ducks splash into the Ohio River in Downtown Louisville and race toward the Waterfront Park finish line. Race Day kicks off at noon on the Festival Plaza at Waterfront Park. Admission to the festival is FREE and features live musical entertainment provided by The Monarchs, inflatable bounce houses, "Make and Take" craft items, face painting, arts and crafts, food and vendor booths, a corn hole tournament and more. Quacky, Harbor House of Louisville’s mascot will also be there along with plenty of his friends! The race will commence at 4:00.

All proceeds from the Ken-Ducky Derby benefit Harbor House of Louisville, a 501(c)(3) charity. Harbor House of Louisville is a non-profit training and development center that seeks to empower individuals with disabilities and their families to lead fulfilled and productive lives.

Duck Adoption Options:

Single Adoption - $5

Quack Pack - $25 (6 ducks)

Big Quack Pack – $50 (14 ducks)

Flock of Ducks - $100 (30 ducks)

Each adoption gives you a chance to win an amazing prize. Major winners from the 2014 Ken-Ducky Derby were:

Grand Prize – Sam Swope Auto World Honda Fit – Steven Kelly

2nd Prize - $1,000 – Annette Hackett

3rd Prize - $500 – Laverne Ferguson

How does it work? Prior to the race, all ducks will be tagged with a number corresponding to the individual who ‘adopted’ the duck. Lucky owners of the first ducks to cross the finish line will win one of several exciting prizes. This year’s major cash prizes will be the same as 2014, with the Grand Prize being a 2015 Honda Fit provided by Sam Swope Honda World.
