The fun-loving folks over at Three Points are inviting you to a Block Party next Saturday, September 5th, to be held at the corner of Logan and Goss Streets (1256 Logan Street).

Celebrate the completion of the new Three Points community venue, and help them fundraise for more public art in our communities!  There will be music, food, booze, art, and much more.  You won’t want to miss this event!

The Three Points Block Party is open to everyone, so there will be no cover for the event, but they are asking for at least a $5 donation so they can reach their fundraising goal of $20,000.  There will be an unveiling the preliminary designs for two murals that will be completed in 2016.

There will be artists painting during the event and guests will be able to silently bid on the artists' work to take home. Proceeds go to the artists and the Three Points fundraiser.  Artists include: Henry Cunningham, Braylyn Rosco Stewart, Damon Thompson, Robby Burgess, Ben McCloud, and Sam Mattingly.

The block party will be outside in the lot adjacent to Three Points (Save-a-lot/Derby Dental).

Three Points is a unique intersection where German-Paristown, Schnitzelburg, and Shelby Park come together, each represented by their respective neighborhood organization.  The intersection is a highly trafficked gateway between the three historic neighborhoods.  These three neighborhoods are coming together and working together to make one great community - Three Points represents that union.

The Block Party sponsors are hoping the name will stick and people will be able to use Three Points as a relative location in identifying where they are.  The site will have a secondary mural painted on the utility shed by the railroad tracks that points visitors in the direction of neighborhood hot spots and popular businesses.
