Louisville Metro Councilman David James (D-6) announces “Movie Night in Victory Park” returns this Friday July 10th as a way to enjoy the beginning of a summertime weekend. And best of all: IT”S FREE!

“The people of Victory Park are coming together in many ways and this is a special event to have some fun and sit back and enjoy a nice neighborhood park,” says James. “So this Friday, we invite everyone to come out for a first run feature and some fun.”

“Annie”, the 2014 contemporary adaptation of the 1977 Broadway musical of the same name, tells the story of America’s favorite orphan who is looking for her parents and finds a new home and family along the way.

The film stars Quvenzhané Wallis, Jamie Foxx, Rose Byrne, Bobby Cannavale, and Cameron Diaz.

The fun starts at 5:00 p.m.  Hot Dogs, Hamburgers and Drinks will be served. The food is being provided by the Olmsted Parks Conservancy as one of their special parks projects for the year.

Victory Park is located at 1051 South 23rd Street.

“So grab your family and friends; bring your lawn chair or a blanket,” says James. “Come out and join us for this great community event!”
