Bats/Reds Swop Pitchers

The Reds have purchased the contract of RHP Nate Adcock from Louisville and optioned RHP Jumbo Diaz to the Bats. An Elizabethtown, Kentucky native and North Hardin High School graduate, Adcock is third in the International League with his 11 saves and owns a 2.96 ERA with 11 saves in 24 1/3 innings at Louisville. Diaz slipped to 2-1 with a 6.65 ERA over 25 relief appearances after allowing two hits, two walks and the two go-ahead runs to get the decision in Cincinnati's 9-7 loss to San Diego on Saturday.
