According to the Courier-Journal, Trainer Todd Pletcher qualified five horses for the Kentucky Derby but will wind up running just three. He pulled Stanford from the No. 11 post. Pletcher said the horse is fine and are steering him towards Belmont Park's May 9 Peter Pan or the Preakness Stakes at Pimlico.
