Louisville’s Holiday in the City promotes Holiday happenings and events throughout the city and markets Louisville as a Holiday destination for residents and visitors. Holiday in the City will kick off with the Light Up Louisville Tradition and continue throughout the month with Holiday Square, Culture and Community Events.  Louisville’s Holiday in the City a gift from MainSource Bank


Holiday Square is located in Downtown Louisville at the corner of 4th and Jefferson Streets.   Public parking is conveniently located at the Hyatt/Commonwealth Garage (at the corner of South Third Street and West Jefferson Street), the Cowger Garage (on South Fourth Street and Market) and the Fourth Street Live! Garage (adjacent to Fourth Street Live! on Fifth Street between Muhammad Ali and Liberty).

*Thanksgiving Day (November 26): 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm

*November 27: 11:00 am – 6:30 pm and 9:00 pm – 11:00 pm (closed during parade)

*December 21: December 23 – 11:00 am – 10:00 PM

*Christmas Eve (December 24): 11:00 am – 4:00 pm

*Christmas Day (December 25): 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm

The Ice Skating Rink

Located at Holiday Square, the 100’ x 44’ ice rink is complete with real ice, skate rentals, concessions and traditional holiday music.

Bourbon & Beer Village

Wednesday through Saturday from November 27 – December 23, 2013

Holiday Square

The Bourbon + Beer Village will celebrate Kentucky’s Bourbon and Craft Beer. Located within Holiday Square it will feature Chalets, full bar, specialty cocktails, music, entertainment and guest seating.

Holiday Square

Inspired by the Christkindl markets in Nuremberg, Germany, a European custom that has been around since 1545, Holiday Square will bring a cherished Holiday tradition to our backyard. World Market will create a unique holiday shopping experience in Downtown Louisville allowing visitors to browse hand-made gifts made by local and international artisans, sip on holiday beverages, taste classic foods from both near and far, or simply wander around Louisville’s only Holiday open-air market.
